We are now recruiting experienced Support Workers to work with adults, children, and young people with special educational needs (SEN) across a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support tailored to the individual needs of service users.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, medication support, and leisure activities.
  • Encourage social interaction, community participation, and access to education or training.
  • Support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and/or physical disabilities.
  • Promote independence, choice, and dignity at all times.
  • Assist with behaviour management strategies where necessary.
  • Follow individual care and support plans.
  • Accurately document all care and support provided, reporting any concerns promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and other support staff.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months UK experience as a Support Worker (within Adults, Children, or SEN services).
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, personal care, and support planning.
  • Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Challenging Behaviour, and/or Mental Health is highly desirable.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
  • Valid Enhanced DBS (preferably on the Update Service) or willing to apply through us.
  • Up-to-date mandatory training (or willing to complete through us).
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable people.
  • Excellent communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
