We are now recruiting experienced Support Workers to work with adults, children, and young people with special educational needs (SEN) across a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support tailored to the individual needs of service users.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, medication support, and leisure activities.
- Encourage social interaction, community participation, and access to education or training.
- Support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and/or physical disabilities.
- Promote independence, choice, and dignity at all times.
- Assist with behaviour management strategies where necessary.
- Follow individual care and support plans.
- Accurately document all care and support provided, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and other support staff.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months UK experience as a Support Worker (within Adults, Children, or SEN services).
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, personal care, and support planning.
- Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Challenging Behaviour, and/or Mental Health is highly desirable.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
- Valid Enhanced DBS (preferably on the Update Service) or willing to apply through us.
- Up-to-date mandatory training (or willing to complete through us).
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable people.
- Excellent communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
